Not gonna lie, I'm really looking forward to a line with both Dube and Neal.

I'm probably missing something, but I'm confused how this can be classified as an emergency recall. Even without Bennett, the Flames have enough healthy forwards, no?

Me too. Especially since Bennett is totally fine.

With 80 games already being done, they can always show other players with nagging injuries, to rest them. They only had two extra forwards. That won't even be a lie, since many players are probably playing through with minor bumps and bruises.

Was surprised on the fan960 interview with Treliving the other day. Rhett suggested down the stretch that team often fake injuries for a call-up and Treliving responded with a quip about the current rule being archaic and that teams need to manufacture injuries to circumvent this. I'm paraphrasing, but it was a very open statement he made and he didn't really try to hide what he was saying.

The Flames will have to say that Bennett AND one more forward are injured.

My guess is Frohlik gets a rest, everytime I see him walking off the ice it looks like he is heavily limping...or he walks with skates on the same way my dog walks with his winter booties on.

according to CP GDTs, almost half of the roster was injured at one point.

Looks like Monahan and Lindholm are "injured" along with Bennett to accommodate the call-up.

If they had other forwards available to play, then they wouldn't be able to call up Dube on emergency. Or is that not true?

Maybe I am misreading what Vinny said, but it seemed to me like he was expecting a starting roster for tonight's game with "no forwards resting tonight."

Go get ‘em tiger. Chance for him to earn a spot on the third line with Jankowski and Neal if Bennett is out longer than we all hope.
