Ducks z-Calgary (50-23-7-107) @ Anaheim (33-37-10-76) 8:30pm (SNW)

The Flames are visiting Mickey Mouse today (presumably, I mean wouldn't you) and tonight take on the Anaheim Ducks in the Honda Center.

Projected starters, not confirmed at the time of posting https://leftwinglock.com/starting-goalies:
Calgary Flames – Mike Smith
Los Angeles Kings – John Gibson

The Flames are resting their players, and didn’t dress their top defenceman against Los Angeles last Monday. I would expect a similar situation tonight to give some rest heading into the playoffs.

As for the Ducks, the Honda Center is not traditionally a friendly place for Flames fans. However, it seems the tide may be changing. Yes, every game is independent of each other, but winning in Anaheim would be a nice statement as the Flames round out the end of the 2018-2019 regular season.

Overall records:
z-Calgary Flames 50-23-7-107
Anaheim Ducks 33-37-10-76

The game will be broadcast on SportsNet West, and should be the last game that we out of towners will need to stream. Thank you NHL Game Centre, you served me well this year.

Go Flames Go

Go Flames! Big night for Johnny!

When is the last time the Flames won all three on the California trip?

Last year they beat Anaheim (with the help of Jobu) and LA but didn't get to play SJ.

Before that it's gotta be a long time given the Honda curse.

I hope Johnny, Mony, Linds, Bennett, Gio, Hamonic, Hanifan and Rasmus are all in the press box tonight. Let the young guys have at it again, worked great on Monday!

I was thinking on Monday "Remember the years when Neal, Janko and Bennett would have been the first line?" I like this year better.

That place is still a damn curse, but I'm glad they aren't getting a sniff of the playoffs this season. I'm honestly more glad Anaheim is out than Edmonton.

The 830pm start blows, but I'm hoping to wake up to a big win and Johnny with 100 points (if he plays).

Don't we have one regular season call-up left? (Is that how it works?)

I'd be surprised if we don't see something in the way of call ups today or tomorrow.

Still have home ice over Boston in the finals to play for, I know it's a stretch but it's something.

I really want Johnny to hit 100, I know resting him at this point makes more sense but man it would be great to see him hit 100.

We just need to get out of the regular season with no big injuries

2 points in either of our last two should do it with ROW.

Sportselect Info
Flames Win = 1.8
Overtime = 3.6
Ducks Win = 2.9
Over 5.5 = 1.55
Under 5.5 = 1.9

I'm guessing we still see the top line dressed tonight and they'll get the Edmonton game off. I also have a feeling most of the lineup checks back in as to not allow any rust to set in. Prout stays dressed to deter any funny business from the Ducks (though that didn't really happen in LA which was disappointing).

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Dube - Jankowski - Neal
Mangiapane - Ryan - Hathaway

Giordano - Andersson
Hanifin - Hamonic
Brodie - Prout

Smith

Here's to Johnny getting to 100 and Lindholm getting his 80th tonight so they can take the Edmonton game off. I expect the Ducks to be their usual tough out in the Honda Centre but the Flames talented lineup (if they bring back everyone like I am thinking they would so they aren't sitting around for more than a week waiting for playoffs to start) wins out. 5-3 Flames and they lock up the #2 seed in the league.

I’m almost more compulsively checking the standings to see matchups than when the Flames are fighting for position. Looking forward to all the matchups getting set.

I just hope no one gets injured tonight. And more importantly than top line scoring IMO is the bottom half of the lineup continuing to gain confidence.

4-1
Dube, Valimaki, Neal, Lindholm

another Honda Center win would be a great way to dunk on this season.

Let's go ahead and do that.
