It is really disappointing when I was simply trying to take place in a discussion only to be personally attacked and ridiculed for no reason. CP should be better than that. I will stay away from discussions like this as I did before.
lol, you weren't personally attacked. From what I saw before you took your ball and went home was somebody politely asking you for evidence to support what you were saying.

Panhandling will most likely to increase due to the fact that these previous resulted in summons turning into warrants turning into spending some sort of time incarcerated. I’ve always thought it was funny that PIMking isn’t banned but MMF is. I just assumed he slept with a mods wife or something crazy like that. You’re telling me it wasn’t anything crazy? Disappointing.

MMF is more legend now than poster. Truth be told, our time didn't have a huge overlap from when I joined, but now I just want this legend to return having heard so much of him. The lack of a good story for a lifetime ban is a little disappointing. I expected a story along the lines of the old Go Fund Me scheme for that dude in Alabama a few years back.
It looks like breaking the same forum rules over and over and over and over again is what got MMF banned. He'd take disagreements to a personal level and engage in a vendetta against a poster. Get sanctioned by mods. Come back and take disagreements to a personal level and engage in a vendetta against another poster. Get sanctioned by mods. Rinse and repeat a half dozen times over several years. At some point I imagine the mods concluded it's unlikely he'd ever learn his lesson and change his ways.

Alternatively, they could implement draconian registration requirements (from the perspective of an anonymous internet hockey forum) and slowly strangle the life out of a site in an attempt to prevent banned posters from coming back.
