I don't think Neal is movable. Unless you want to take on Lucic.

Best bet is just to give him another year to turn it around and hopefully he becomes hot playoff time. We need him to pitch in or this team isn't going to go pass the 2nd round IMO.

The idea of comparing Curtis Lazar to Adam Larsson is profoundly silly.

Yet still somehow less silly than trading Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson.

Brodie is better than Larsson. I dont think that shero is as stupid as chiarelli though.

I am all for hall. That would be pretty magnificent... think of the salty oiler tears. has another year left at 6 so that is nice. I think you do it and figure out $ in the summer after another playoffs.

Brodie+jankowski+1st (+)

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Hall-Backlund-Tkachuk

Pretty sick top-6!

Would love to be able to add Hall. This team need another superstar forward...and likely a goalie. Hall will command so much money though it will be tough.

Maybe something like Bennett, Kylington, 1st for Hall as the basis for the deal?

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Hall - Backlund - Tkachuk
Mangiapane - Jankowski - Neal
Dube - Ryan - Hathaway

Find a way to ship out Frolik and Stone for picks.

TBH I'd rather have Tre spend the money & players (picks) on a legit goalie for this team over getting Hall.

Hall and a bonafide NHL goalie would set them up for a couple good runs at a championship, without a doubt.

I think Hall would be your first line right wing and Lindholm slides to 2.

Hall - Monahan - Tkachuk
Gaudreau - Backlund - Lindholm

Good luck keeping both lines in check.

Gonna have to shed some salary if that's going to happen. Tkachuk is due for a healthy raise, and this would implicitly mean that Rittich is as good as gone unless he likes backup duties (which I doubt he will).

I think the Flames goalie acquisition could be tied to Columbus in some ways.

Bobrovsky is being moved to a team that is going to want to send a goalie out. The Jackets already have Kinkaid (UFA but cheap backup option for them) & Korpisalo. Maybe Tre works with Jarmo to pick up a goalie from the team that ultimately deals with Columbus for Bob.

ie: Bob goes to the Isles who want to move Greiss and the last year of his deal. Flames likely looking for a vet to share minutes with Rittich and there we have it.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are nobody is trading for Bob a month or less before he becomes a UFA.

Especially since he couldn't play in the playoffs for them. Plus why would Columbus trade BoBo when they are clearly all in this year?

I mean after the season obviously, and for his rights. Admittedly a stretch on my part.

(I think I often overestimate the desire to secure negotiating rights early)

I still wanna give Talbot a shot. Tandem with Rittich.

I don't think Hall has ever played RW, has he? Either way I think it's good to have your two game breakers on different lines. Gaudreau and Hall both carry the puck way too much to play together IMO.

Hoping for one of Lehner, Greiss, Halak, Raanta or Kuemper. In that approximate order. Dubnyk too if he is available.

Sadly, I am expecting Talbot or Mike Smith to be re-signed.
