Not sure I understand your point.

Sure, but when the Flames were good, other teams were strong too. The Flames have surely not been the best team in the league over NJ’s tenure.

If you look at the standings and count the Cups, you may find that NJ was strong for a not insignificant period of time.

Not for the amount of time Calgary was, and the differences weren't as great. NJ was an expansion team with a really low winning percentage when Calgary was dominating them so badly. When NJ was good and winning Calgary wasn't so bad they were an auto-win.

The Colorado Rockies moved to Newark - was not an expansion team

Oh yeah. They were terrible though. Three cities in 10 years.

Any road win is a good win. Such a solid team right now and I say bring on the tougher opponents with their deadline acquisitions. Not too worried and Flames are going to need some playoff style games anyway.

Ok, but every other team in the league, NJ has 40 percent win percentage or greater, and 30 with Calgary.

Bizarre outlier.

And I learned watching the Devils feed that Carol Vadnais played a season with the Devils. I had no recollection of that.

Hard to believe there's only 18 games left in what has been a really fun regular season.

Even as the top line has been in a mini drought, Lindholm continues to put up consistent points. I think, and I may be wrong by a game or so, but since the ASG break hes not produced a point in one game (last night?).

Yeah he needed some puck luck tonight but hot damned the dude has become a machine.

Unreal stat Patty! A slam dunk!

And this somehow relates to disagreeing with Treliving not going out and getting a rental, because.. ummm.

Seven points ahead of the Sharks - with same no. of games played!
But still according to the experts, top teams in the west are the sharks, Nashville, Vegas, Winnipeg, am I missing anymore teams? Guess Flames have no chance, doofuses at sportsnet.
