He jumped him from behind and starting throwing when he threw Chara to the ice. No respect there. and the Bruins announcers hate him! wanted him to eat more punches. haha

I think Smith might hit .900 on the season after tonight.

Keep it going old boy.

Yeah. I remember McCabe’s incredulous look and laugh. He got off lucky

Then when the Bruins won the Cup over those awful Canucks, and you heard him yell, it was a frickin’ roar from an enormous human.

Wouldn’t even contemplate dropping the gloves with that guy.

Glad Kane did. What an idiot.

That was just as satisfying to watch as the flames win. What a gutless player Kane is.

Here's Smith's save from the MSG camera angle. You can really seem him reach. Such a beauty of a save.

On mobile so not sure how to embed.

What? He got smoked by Chara, dropped his gloves and jumped him, started punching him while he was on the ice not knowing what was going on, then got his ass kicked while he held on for dear life, followed by chirping him after.

....because of a clean hit.

How is that deserving of anything other than derision. That guy is a ###### and guaranteed even his own teammates hate him.

Mike Smith needs to stop his next 29 shots against to hit .900 on the season. He's currently allowed 90 goals on 871 shots, good for an .897.

He jumped and suckered the toughest guy in the league. And it backfired. I don't respect that.

Good to know, they hadn't updated the numbers where I was looking.

Kane likely learned that next time he should keep his stick in his hands if he doesn't want to get rung like a bell.

If Chara was a mean vicious type good lord could he do some damage. Many players should be thankful he's pretty restrained.

So I can’t telk what happened. Did it hit his glove or pad?

Awesome either way, just was too fast for me to tell

He didn’t really ‘answer the bell’. He started throwing punches at a guy who was already disengaged and was focusing on the play, for a clean hockey hit. The opposite of respectful to me.
I did enjoy seeing him get punched, however.

Longest winning streak of the season, and Johnny doesn’t have a goal. And that’s a vey, very good thing I thinks. Great work Flames, held a strong NYI team at bay for the most part.
