Tavares didn't go the highest bidder, he went where he saw a fit, in a place he wanted to be, on a team with a young core and a Cup contention window just starting to open up.

I think the Flames will have a great shot at signing Stone this summer if he goes UFA (or if they trade for him).

3. Canadian market (he seems to like that)
4. His brother is already here (could be a huge positive?)


Of course, if there is a contender out there willing and able to pay him $10.5 million per, then I guess all bets are off.

Ya I agree, I actually enjoy it. I mean he could be full of it but he is putting his money where his mouth is. If he’s wrong on this I doubt people will take his reddit account seriously again, especially when it’s about one of the biggest trades in franchise history.

I've got nothing against Stone, and maybe it's the old Sutter years that have me scared, but man am I terrified of already selling off the farm again. The Flames window is just getting started. There is no reason to go all in so soon.

I don’t think he mentions Ceci, so far he’s claiming the flames are close on Stone and Hayes and that trades will come after the game. Also mentioned Neal going on LTIR

He would immediately be the Flames second best offensive player and best defensive forward. Yes, he is better than Backlund and Lindholm defensively.

I've seen that Adragon guy in question on Reddit too, he always says he's got one source close to the team and relays random things from whoever it is often, and has been a mixed bag of accuracy. I'm skeptical for sure.

Ya, seems like the majority of flames fans on reddit do think he has a legit source. This is without a doubt the biggest news he’s tried to break, if he’s wrong I do think his reddit account could be banned.
