How many oilers fans does it take to change a light bulb?
They don't change the light bulb they just sit in the dark and talk about how good the old one was!

And this little gem

McDavid came up with the flu after a five-hour Oilers team autograph session at West Edmonton Mall on Monday, where thousands of incredibly loyal fans lined up for hours to get apparel signed, say hello, and unfortunately for McDavid, shake hands and breathe on their heroes

How unfortunate that a player has to shake hands and share the same air as their fans haha

Yeah really. At this point, I would put a mask and nitrile gloves on before meeting McSick. Heck, maybe a full on tyvex suit. He is the ground zero.
I am starting to wonder if maybe a monkey bit him or something.

Talked with an Oiler fan today. I thought I was going to feel sick but laughter truly is the best medicine.
A fellow Flame fan and I were discussing trade rumors and he said that the Flames are rumored to be interested in Duchene. I said I don't think it will happen as Treliving has a history of not doing anything big at the deadline. He prefers to do his big moves during the offseason.
The Oiler fan piped up that the Oilers are likely getting Duchene anyway. Allegedly Nugent-Hopkins and Lucic are going to Ottawa for Duchene and Dzingle...
I buried my head and pretended to re-tie my shoes so I could hide my huge grin.

I notice Spector and all Oilers media in general have omitted any references to the Flames in all their articles this season outside of when they face each other. A few years ago lots of articles from Spector and Co. comparing the organizations but this year it's like they are trying really hard to pretend the Flames don't exist.

Maybe McDavid has learned from Hossa's equipment allergy and is building up the case that he is allergic to Edmonton

I would love to start using #TBT to remind Spector of all the garbage he's written
A good focus on the context around when he wrote it, and what happened next would be a fun Thursday

hopefully they'll string together a number of wins now. As Flames fans know, there's nothing worse than "9th place purgatory" and that's exactly where I want them to be. Too good to ruin another top 3 pick, too bad to make the playoffs. No draft lottery hope and no playoff excitement, just soul-draining average and cap hell.

At this point I think we have to feel sorry for the fans for having to share the same air as McDavid...
Maybe turn Roger's Place into some sort of Quarantine Zone? Can we Dome it?

No. There is a worse place than purgatory, and that is hell. Hell for Oilers fans is being embarrassed every year while the rest of the League walks over your cap-strapped team, and then seeing elite-level prospects come in and continue to make absolutely no difference at all.
No. Not even the Draft Lottery can save the Edmonton Oilers.
Nothing can.
Nothing.

i couldn't help but notice when the oil played the coyotes that they mentioned that the coyotes are the #2 team in the nhl for getting short handed goals... no mention of the #1 team

During they game they specifically said "the only team with more shorthanded goals are the Calgary Flames", so maybe you heard them mention this stat at a different time?

I have noticed this as well. It also happens on the broadcasts. When Quinn and Remenda compare the Oilers to other teams for various stats, they will always omit the Flames.
"They are playing like one of the better offensive teams this year, like Tampa or San Jose or Toronto."
"They are a strong 3rd period team, like Winnipeg and Colorado"
Um, grow some balls, you dishrags.
