He will if the Sens mess about with Stone. Will be hilarious if others fight over Zuc driving his price up, only for us to get Stone at the last minute for less than what another team paid for Zuc.

How are we going to sign Stone if we got him? It's not happening.

Get Mike Hoffman..for 2019 First Round Pick. Oliver Kylington, and Adam Ruczicka. Under contract, Panthers a mess..Depth scoring. Will allow a trade of Frolik in off season.

Also as much as many dont want to admit it, this team is and plays very small. Its fine in the regular season, but things will change to some degree in the playoffs..we will see how much but they best be ready for it.
Im still hoping they address 2 birds with one stone in Kevin Hayes up front and Patrick Nemeth on the back end as both guys are big boys and have been through the rigors once o twice before.

I think Brodie is the defenseman that the Flames should be sending out before any of their young guys who are playing quite well.

Not interested in Hoffman for that price.
Guy is a one dimensional scorer. Not exactly what the Flames need right now.

This summer sure, but when the Flames are allegedly shopping for additional depth on D, doesn't make much sense to remove one from your top pairing even if he makes the occasional dumb mistake.

Not until the summer though.
That would disrupt things on the backend way to much and would force Prout into the line up until Stone is back, or have one of Kylington/Valimaki playing the wrong side of the ice.
Not ideal.

This I agree with 100%. Brodie, Stone, hell even Hamonic and Gio in a couple of years. The 3 we drafted + Hanifin will be our extremely solid Top-4 in a few years time.

Adding Duchene causes a much bigger trickle down effect would it not? And given Treliving has expressed his concerns for team chemistry, this seems like a move that would disrupt it the most.
|
True, and obviously Duchene would be their "2nd line centre" but to avoid the huge chemistry shakeup of putting him in Backlund's spot and moving everyone down, I could see them just replacing Jankowski with Duchene to play with Bennett and Czarnik.
Then either move Frolik or Jankowski to fourth line LW and the other plays with Tkachuk and Backlund. Could work pretty well.

I do too now.
And i think it happens tomorrow morning if not today.
Allows things to start happening with Duchene and Dzingel on Ottawas end, along with everything else.

I think standing pat at the deadline isn't a bad idea. I do however think that Mangiapane should be replaced on the 4th line. I know his name has been brought up before but Kyle Clifford gets my vote.

I like how he's flown under the radar on trade rumours so far. But Treliving should get him before Stone is gone, to keep the price down.

Sens have called up two forwards.
One is expected to play for Duchene who is being held out. The question is who the 2nd one is for? Dzingel? Stone? injury?

I think Mangiapane has just come into his own and is playing his best hockey right now. Honestly I wouldn’t do much at all other than some cheap depth.

Been debating Hamonic or Brodie to move this summer all year now. Lately the choice is 100% Brodie. More dynamic player but his defensive gaffs are frustrating. Beyond that I think we've got players who can replace him, not so much with Hamonic.
Either one is a big trading chip, hopefully Treliving uses them wisely. Graduate guys up the defence ranks and Brodie because a huge asset to assist the roster elsewhere.
