Jeez, he was okay, nothing more. It really says something about our expectations if we think that was a "very good" game. He made a couple good saves, got beat on tough shots, but the best you could say was he gave the Flames a chance to win. He was sub .900 in save precentage, had clear issues tracking the puck and battling through traffic, had zero rebound control, made a couple bad plays handling the puck, and as the game went on started flopping all over. His recent play is at best average, which luckily for this team is good enough many nights.

God I hate Pittsburgh. So many cheap shot cowards on that team. Malkin is easily one of the dirtiest players in the league and has been for years.

BTW, did you watch the entire game? So much roughness, must have been tough for you to stay tuned

Disagree, Was a close first, Flames played a great second. The third the Penalty kill let the team down, but was some spotty reffing to give the Pens so many chances.

Malkin and Crosby have more edge than our top players and it really showed at times in this game. If we can pick up a tough scorer to round out the top 6 it would really help

Smith was excellent. Getting lots of love on the Pens post game. Hoping he can put together a good stretch of games as we head down the stretch.

Great gutsy win.
I hate to complain about the officiating but all 4 PIT goals were off of bad calls against the Flames or blatant non-calls against Pittsburgh.
Ryan tripped on the faceoff on one goal against, Malkin with a big interference hit on Janko on the 4th goal against come to mind.
Honorary mustache for Bennett after his game today:

His save with less than 10 seconds left on Malkin was spectacular.

Sharks have gotten to play Vancouver twice and Edmonton once over the past week. Annoying

Cant believe they won with Smith letting in goals from Malkin and Crosby from 2 ft away.
This place sucks sometimes

Everybody, including the opposition telecast crew, and their dog would consider Smiths performance to be very good to excellent.
Why can’t we praise him for his performance?

The bar for Smith was set at a different level at some point.

I think the Flames had a rough 2nd. Especially in the 2nd half of it.
The reffing wast why this was a 1 goal game. The PK was just not there today.
And the Flames scored some suspect/lucky goals.
Happy with the win, but disappointed that they almost blew it.

Not many. One or two of the usual suspects, but otherwise people seemed thankful for a pretty solid performance from the old guy.

If you found fault with Smith's game today, you are just looking for excuses/blame/problems. Guy played great. Pretty happy to see two strong games in a row.
