Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
As #Oilers examine cap solutions to activate Sekera from LTIR after conditioning stint, cleanest option (short of a trade) may well be to waive and demote both Brandon Manning and Alex Petrovic. Clears necessary space. (Also: Undoes Chiarelli's last two trades.)

They are even more dysfunctional than I thought. I see hitch is still enjoying his retirement

Omg.... if they waive them it will be Glorious! I’d even hope we put a claim in on one of them just to troll Edmonton Hahahaha

Now, I didnt see it, but from what I understand, the Hawks scored, Hitch challenged on Goaltender Interference.

He lost the challenge and then subsequently (but not promptly) gave Talbot the hook.

So Talbot got the joy of being out there while the team collapsed around him, got to enjoy being scored on relentlessly, waited for the review to be performed and then got pulled and went to the dressing room never to return.

Exactly, I’m sure he would be living just fine making 10.5. Him and his agent went for the jugular, enjoy cap hell

Undoes, or writes them off?

So Edmonton approached the NHL to allow them to extend Sekera's rehab stint from 3 to 5 games.

Ron McLean is weighing in on 630CHED right now.

He thinks that Mark Messier should be the next GM!

Yes, please!

The Flames are good, the Oilers are no good. But what are the limits to goodness and no-goodness? You can't win (or lose) all your games. Tampa Bay is having an unreal year, and the Sens have the worst record in the league this year.

Tampa has 81 points in 53 games. 0.764 points %, on pace for 125 points.
Calgary has 73 points in 53 games. 0.689 points %, on pace for 113 points.
Edmonton has 51 points in 53 games. 0.481 points %, on pace for 79 points.
Ottawa has 43 points in 52 games. 0.413 points %, on pace for 68 points.

What would happen if the Flames imploded and closed out the season playing like the lowly Senators? They'd finish with 97 points.

What would happen if the Oilers caught fire and closed out the season playing like the Lightning? They'd finish with 95 points.

TL;DR Edmonton is no good.

Is Ron McLean done watching the Oilers win multiple cups this decade?

Perhaps Talbot went to the locker room to power puke, after the sickeningly poor defensive "effort" of his pathetic teammates!

I as well, am in 100% aggreance with Ron Maclean in thinking Mark Messier should be the next GM of the Edmonton Oilers.

If we think this can't get any better than it currently is, that's one way to put a cherry on top.
