Yeah, it's definitely not a perfect system.

Soccer rules feel more fitting. Play a full 15 minute OT. If it’s still tied after that then go to sudden death.
FG contest.

From 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60.

Yeah, that should be the playoff rule. The rule as it is, is ok for regular season.

Gooooaaatttttt!

2 minute drill down 4? No problem.

Drive down the field to walk off OT? Barely even a sweat.

The trolling, fine. But the other part? Disagree.

I could see it, I don't think I'd like Thomas or Payton or maybe Ingram if they were elsewhere, they definitely not short on personality..my initial wanting the Rams to lose feeling is the same reason you wanted the Saints to lose today haha...minus hating the coach, I like McVay

The Saints get screwed by the refs and the Chiefs get screwed by a coin toss. Too bad, would have been nice to see the two best teams in the Super Bowl.

The good thing for everyone but Pats fans is that as we saw today if it's close towards the end, the Pats have no chance against the Rams. Not even Brady can save them from bull#### penalties and non-calls. So just like the Saints the Pats need a blowout or they have almost no chance.

It’s sad that winning a coin flip gives a significant advantage. Yeah I know you still have to score. I think the opponent should get the ball with an opportunity to get a TD, too.

You're not getting that roughing call against the Rams. Aaron Donald could be lined up beside Tom Brady and there won't be a penalty. On any of the those third downs Marcus Peters could literally decapitate Edelman and Edelman will get a personal foul. LA winning the Super Bowl is far more important than Brady winning another. Like worth hundreds of millions of dollars more important. If they have a chance to manipulate the outcome, well, we saw today how it will go.

LA/NE is a Super Bowl matchup that I can not get excited about. What a disappointment.

And people say the CFL is bush league. Any league that allows a coin toss to practically determine the outcome of the game is bush. I don’t understand how they haven’t come up with a better system. KC loses the coin toss and never even get a chance with the ball in OT. Seems to me there were a lot of bad calls/missed calls today as well. Goes to show that the almighty NFL isn’t perfect either.

I feel the same. NE in the Super Bowl is boring and the Rams don't deserve to be there after that call. I have no idea who to cheer for.

That OT is on the Kansas defensive coordinator, who kept sinking his safety up on the slant. that was just bad coaching, when everyone in the country knows where that third down pass is going.

I'm assuming you're not reading my posts. If the game is close like this when you play the Rams, you can't win. The NFL will not let it happen, way too much money on the line. We saw that today, which I predicted. So you'd better be up by 30 going into the fourth quarter just to be sure, but yeah expect the screwjob if there's a chance.

The OT rules are not that bad.

If KC is allowed the ball after NE scores. They're attempt at scoring is more advantageous because they are now playing a different set of rules by virtue of being able to play 4 down football the entire length of the field. And there would always be the possibility of a championship gaming being decided by an extra point. The defence needs to do their job.
