My boss played in the WHL when Hitch was the coach in Kamloops. He told me these stories about how Hitch in one arena, where you had to cross the ice to get to the dressing room, the organist would play the A&W root beer theme as it took a couple minutes to make the traverse. Savage. One time he fell down, and couldn’t get up. Soaking wet. Player had to come back and pick him up. When he reached the other side, they locked the gate and he was stuck. Organist was playing the theme the entire 5 minute saga.

I think if you did that today, you’d be jailed for harassment.

That was great

About time we put them in their place. We battered and bullied them all night long... fantastic

I love this team

Haha, poor Oiler fans. I just read this on HF Oiler boards and wanted to share.

"Truly a catastrophic night.

Destroyed in the OOT scoreboard where literally every team we needed to lose got the win and then blown out at home by a vastly superior Flames team.

This organization is so ****ed."

Tonight's game really makes me question how oiler fans can say Draisaitl ain't over paid.
Good player, as an rfa, got a great player ufa contract.

Idiotic.

I loved listening to Peters' interview.

He emphasized the team mindset and that was great. I also appreciated how he went out of his way to mention Backlund's accomplishment and what he appreciates about Backlund in general. I get the feeling he genuinely cares about the players and I think that makes him a better coach.

Fan on CHED just noted that the future is players like Puljujarvi and Yamamoto and Bouchard and things will get better, sometime... somewhere.

Oh wait, did I say fan? I meant stealth Oilers PR person phoning in to slowly build the groundwork for the next version of the rebuild.

And just like that, we now have a 6 point lead in the division. I love this team!

Monahan is so good at scoring goals.
I wish everyone on the team had his reflexes, or whatever it is that makes him score.

Agreed. He just gave the puck a pretty gentle lift to score. The confidence he has in tight is so impressive.

I can't say too much about this, i have strong intel (my wife works with a oiler /ex-oiler spouse). Oiler players HATED the coaching change and hate Hitchcock. He is a real hardass obviously/apparently.
