There’s a lot of talk about how Johnny’s defensive game improvement is the biggest difference why he’s scoring more. I disagree. I find he is finding open ice in neutral and blue line giving him time to make plays.
He’s constantanly thinking a step ahead of other teams and creating high danger chances almost every trip down the ice.

He’s not just trying to completely do it on his own now that he has a complete line and D men jumping with him.
Come on, that was off the back of the guy's helmet. That's a brutal call.
