this is one of my favourite times of the year.... the insanity of the christmas rush has passed so i now have time to do some things for myself.
i've been wanting to make myself a shirt for a while and had a few spare minutes this morning to setup the file, cut the vinyl and heat press it all into place.
i think it looks pretty sweet and can't wait to wear it on tuesday when i'll be seeing a bunch of buddies that are some pretty die hard (all be it disheartened) oil fans!

Nugent-Hopkins had a 25 point lead at the start of the season. It was down to 20 at the start of December... Just over a month later, it's zero.

The 2011 draft class was pretty good, with Gaudreau (picked 104), Kucherov (pick 58), Landeskog (2nd overall), and soon to be Scheifele (pick 7) putting up more points than RNH (1st overall) while scoring at close to the same pace. Just love stealing Jonny that late in the draft.

They'll get killed in the first round of the playoffs.
Its not even fun anymore because their wretched team is so far behind the Flames in actual points, personal and records. Beating up Edmonton fans over their team is like beating up a person that's been in a coma for 20 years, its not a challenge anymore, its sad, and I'm starting to feel like a bully for doing it.
Sure they can have some bravado, they can claim that its the fault of successive coaches, but its not. They can certainly blame their GM, and its true he does actually suck. But the biggest problem is the players in that dressing room that have one and all accepted being losers, and that includes Coasty Mclackingdesire who thinks that playing without the puck is beneath him, and that fly bys make him the Pete "Maverick" Mitchell of the NHL.

Um, 2017. Never forget. Casual fans at my local rink were declaring themselves oilers fans. Darryl Katz got a sitdown interview on HNIC to talk about the genius of tanking for a decade and how it was finally paying off. Every TSN and sportsnet analyst were proclaiming the start of a dynasty. Remember AlbertaOiler72, and all the other insufferable trolls?
