Yup, enough is enough. The is our first real chance to be a contender and just because their could be other years in this window (as text critic has mentioned) doesn't mean we should throw our season away not getting a capable 1b/backup.
Put Smith out to pasture, say thanks but that's it. Find a way to make it work bringing someone else in. Don't squander anymore of this season on a guy that's done.
Mike Smith, good guy, good person, great father and husband.. but he's done in the NHL. Everyone, especially and only our GM, need to accept this.
