Shots are 13-12 Red Wings, the Flames aren’t getting outplayed by much. A few defensive mistakes to be sure, but the Wings have also made some mistakes. Howard was the better goalie this period, but the Flames need to figure out how to get through the neutral zone with some speed. Transition game is lacking.

He's made a couple pretty tough save some including the last tip. I'd say he's had a much harder night than Howard.

Most goalies stop the pass in the 2nd goal and it never happens. Smith was in his net and watched it cause he’s playing terrified/uncomfortable

The 1st goal is one good goalies stop half the time

Defensively the Flames have not been good for a few games now. I thought they were far too loose in their own end on New Year's Eve.

Exactly. That wasn't on Smith. Nor was the first goal. Since I got home I think I have seen five or six two-on-ones from the Wings (I hate the Wings so much). Just horrible. WTF is with this team in Detroit? (I hate Detroit)
