I agree, sometimes Johnny should tone it down, but to say that and show a clip of him taking a two handed chop is ridiculous

Kypreos calling out Johnny for shaking his hands after being slashed. Maybe Kypreos should take a swing from Byfuglien on air and see how he shakes.
Maybe they should focus on how bad the Reffing was in the existing game. Ref's this bad should have a five game suspension.

Maybe Connor McDavid should stop looking at the referees every time he's touched by an opponent. Say that, Nick.

I think if Johnny is to complain lots about slashing thats ok as he is receiving tons of them.
However i dont think Johnny should be slashing players too after complaining about slashing.
Food for though

Hard to do that in a league that allows headshots, slashing isn’t a penalty unless it breaks a players stick, and they can’t properly track the play.
Refs need to be better.

That's what I'm curious about. An icing isn't an icing if the other team touches it. Knocked down with a high stick isn't a high stick if the other team touches it. So is a glove pass still a glove pass if the other team touches it first?

Because he was calling a 2nd penalty on the play. I think it looked like an angry compromise

Although Johnny isn't as bad as he used to be(he has toned it down this year), I have no issue with what Kypreos stated. He is correct. I don't like any player who whines. No need for whataboutism with respect to what other players do.

The dramatics at the end of the Jets game was sore loser Buff trying to break Gaudreau’s arm Yes Johnny can imbelish but that was a very stupid example by Kypreos.

Same with Tkachuk. I think it's the reason he's not drawing as many calls this year, the refs are wise to his antics.
We've seen him with some pretty egregious headsnaps this year already.

Anyone else think intent to blow the whistle has no place in the NHL in 2018? Not only is it a terrible rule in the first place, but reviewing a play eliminates the purpose of the rule in the first place.
Make it clear that the goalie has to cover the puck for x-seconds, and if he did have it covered and the puck was wacked out when the whistle should have been blown... you can see that in the replay quite easily and have a metric everyone can understand.
In this case, the intent to blow the whistle was an incorrect whistle in the first place. If the whistle was not blown, a review would have shown a good goal... as it should have been.
These are very simple fixes, and it's staggering well-paid supposedly intelligent people come to such terrible decisions.

Gaudreau isn't anymore or or less of a whiner than most players, and shaking a hand after getting slashed is hardly theatrics.
The one major thing is his unfortunate resting bitch face. Johnny has that pouty whine face that makes his complaints look 100% worse.

And I'm telling you that you dont need to be curious. There was no possession and it's the same category as a penalty call. You need to possess the puck

Johnny gets slashed a crazy amount of times. But, he also is the biggest cryer. He is his own worst enemy, I've said it for a long time. He Doth protests too much. Shut the yap, play the game. Give the refs the chance to forget your voice and the calls will turn your way.
