Smith and Bennett both rocking the cookie dusters after Movember.

Still going to call Bennett Col.mustard.

Maybe Smith is channeling his inner Billy Smith.

Good period, Stolarz made some huge saves to keep it 1-0.

Smith with a few nice saves early to not let Philly score first.

Gaudreau is the best at rushing the puck, yes, but if I want to clear the puck out of the defensive zone against pressure, the guys I am putting out there are

- Tkachuk on the left wall, Bennett, maybe Jankowski
- Bennett, Backlund. maybe Lindholm but I haven't seen him there enough to know
- Lindholm on the right wall, Bennett, maybe Jankowski,

Right now Backlund is not part of the lineup. And again, putting Bennett in a stationary position on the walls takes his speed away. So I don't actually want to put Bennett on the wing.

Add to that his poor positioning, and faceoff abilities
I don't see this poor positioning you are talking about. His positioning in the defensive zone is very good. Not Backlund-good, but he's also 22, not 29.

As for faceoffs, not only are they a small aspect especially at 5 on 5, but that's a bizarre criticism for a guy who leads the team in FO% at 64.2

Let's not be crazy here. His winning percentage is fantastic at the moment but he's taken a paltry amount of face-offs this year. 53 face-offs taken is not a high numbers.

Lindholm, Ryan, Jankowski and Backlund have all seen a sizeable amount of face-offs and all are on the right side of the percentage.

Hahaha Burke calls Bennett "Grumpy".

Just a few minutes ago I was thinking about how he always looks like he's in a bad mood

I'm half tempted to say maybe they should put Quine up there with them two tykes. Ryan can be a stats darling in the bottom six.

There is no way Sam Bennett isn’t in his late 30s. Someone needs to ask for a birth certificate.

Worth a shot for a bit at least. We know Jankowski and Ryan both don't work well there, try this

Every movie commercial I've seen in the last few weeks look just terrible. Except for that Clint Eastwood one

That is by far what Ryan is best at, being a stats darling. His defensive prowess allows him to be that, without being very functional offensively.
