All Dallas right now, but they can't score to save their lives.

I can just picture Hitch and Gully brainstorming before puck drop. One looks at the other and says "so...any ideas? Seriously, I've got nothing. Are we allowed to forfeit?"

My question is with McDavid out of the lineup, how many forwards out of the Oilers lineup would you take on the Flames for free? Meaning without giving up assets in return? Draisaitl I guess... but he's making a million too much, not good for cap reasons. Hopkins is decent at six million. Then who else...? We had Chiasson before, and he wasn't needed as a depth forward. I don't think Caggiula is much of an upgrade over what we have. Puljujärvi I suppose, because he still has potential; but it's waning. Other than that I wouldn't go near them with a ten foot clown pole.

I am quite sure they saw the Oilers on the schedule and decided to spend the night on the town. Then upon learning that McDavid was out they have resolved to coast through this game. Why expend the energy?

"And look at Kris Russell come back defensively!"
WFT? He's supposed to play back, that's his position.

At least under McLellan the Oilers losses were exciting. I may as well be watching Raw over this crap!

So the Oilers dressed 11 forwards and then benched Russell. So 10 forwards. So bench Rattie and run with 3 lines all night.
Good stuff.

That's standard on Oiler's broadcasts. They always talk about defensive plays by defensemen like they're excellent two way forwards that went above and beyond rather than...defensemen.

Is it my imagination or was that interview by Principe with Khaira really condescending about Khaira's dad, like he'd never been to a game or something.
