Both games Smith has looked "ok" he didnt face anything teams played great. This is good for his confidence but he still looked very scrambly. Hope he can calm down.

I thought he only scrambled on the big save, and there he's needed to.

Bennett was great. Janko was great (two nice feeds to Lomberg and Czarnik - drew penalty). Smith saved the game with that save.

Great performance by the entire team. Still can be better!

Really thought Bennett had a great game, some nice dangles that actually ended up as scoring chances instead of him just getting stripped of the puck. Glad Johnny got the PP goal as it would have been a shame if he didn't get one after those 3 posts (especially that wrap around that hit the far side post). Kylington impressed me, our young D core is truly a wealth of riches.

Thought Lindholm had a pretty quiet have despite getting a couple points, but maybe that is just relative to how electric he's been in some past games. Hanafin could be really good if he works on his passing - seems like he often can skate it into the zone then pass it to nowhere.

A bit of a slow game through the middle 40 mins but solid win overall.

That LA offense might be the most inept offense I've ever seen in an NHL game.

They might not put 2 up against some Novice teams I've seen.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're shut out for a month this season.

Neal had a good first half of the game, didn't notice him much the second half.

I switched and watched the Kings broadcast as well, as I didn’t want to watch the Flames broadcast. . Comepletely agree on this sentiment. They did a great job.

Glad the flames won. Had they lost, it would not have looked good for the club.

Very forgettable game. On to the next one. The last 2 games felt like Gulutzan era games.

Hopefully Peters can turn the saddledome into one of the tougher arenas to play in like it used to be.

And hopefully can stay above water on the road as well and continue that from last season.

I’d like to see Mony getting moving a bit more, some coasting going on where hustle should have been the order, but I do like how smart he can be positionally a lot of the times which makes up for it. But he left two grade a opportunities on the table by not moving his feet.

I can't believe that between Valimaki Kylington and Andersson, Bill Peters manages to swap around 3 rookies and not miss beat. And then, you consider Hanifin is only 21! Unreal. Not often you see an NHL team rotate 3 D rookies in and out, and it can still be considered their best D corps in years. It's so surreal to me.

This is the D corps the team has been hoping for since Bouwmeester signed. The future is so bright on the backend.!

I think this is a great situation for both him and Rittich. Neither one has to be “the guy.”
