This is awesome! Keep er going boys. Neal looked good also he had a couple chip in attempts to get past the d that were unlucky not to get by and skate on through - one hit the defenders shaft. I hope he gets one tonight.

Both the Jets and Knights were coming off pretty dominant wins too.

I think you nailed it here. It's amazing what solid goaltending can do for a team's confidence. Flames look like a different team when he's in net.

I agree with Brian Burke.

I hope he punches McLean while he’s at it.

One of my issues with Johnny last year was that he could have Tanguay-itis at times and pass it when he had a good shot chance. I hope he starts shooting more.

Great point by Brian Burke, try to get James Neal going in this game. Use the scoring cushion as an opportunity to give him plenty of extra time 5on5 and PP

Torie Peterson @ToriePeterson
Hanifin picked up an assist on Johnny's goal - he now has 4 points in the last 3 games. #WPGvsCGY

Hahaha this is a very enjoyable week so far. But I’m pretty sure we know who the boys have confidence in between the pipes

That first goal in on smith would’ve deflated them

Everything that the panel said is ringing so true:

Flames playing with tons of confidence in front of solid goaltending.
Bennett realizing he doesn't need to put up massive amounts of points to be an effective player in the league.

Sportsnet Stats @SNstats
#Flames are the first team to score 5 first-period goals in back-to-back games since the Blues on Nov 21 & 23, 1989

I gotta say it, I think the combination of the BOA win and Rittich in net is setting this team off. So fun to watch. Knowing that Rittich is cementing his spot as starter the rest of the season is a big bonus.
