Love to see him rise to the occassion. If not, hand the keys over to Rittich.
I think he'll give up at least 2 in the first 10 minutes.

He's welcome to surprise me though.

This is the funniest #### I’ve seen posted tonight from some random, wounded, LA fan

What's up all you beautiful drunken animals? I have four fewer bones in my skull since the last time I talked to yall, and boy howdy is that painful. I was gonna make a Mike Richards joke since I'm on Oxycodone for all the pain, but I'm too loopy to come up with it. I will say, I would literally kill a man for the ability to eat a cheeseburger right now. I never realized how much I took the ability to eat solid foods for granted until I lost it.
I have no idea what to expect tonight. I did not agree with most of you guys about last game, I actually think we played rather well against the Wild on Thursday. We lost, but it was a good loss, and we played some really quality hockey. Which I guess is not what most of you guys thought haha.
I'm just hoping for a good game, I've been sitting in bed with guass shoved in my face hole all day with nothing to do and no one to talk to, so either way this will be a nice distraction.
I also ####ing hate Calgary so I'm really hoping the Kings can give us a win tonight and ease the pain of how this season is going. Win or lose this year, I'd like to at least beat our division rivals.

For the first time in a long time, I've been watching the coach's post game scrum with the media. For whatever reason, I'm actually enjoying listening to Bill Peters talking hockey. I don't even know if he's actually saying much, but he's entertaining.

I'm surprised no one is talking about Hathaway's game. Big hit, solid on the PK, and lots of energy. He should be a permanement member of the roster and Peluso should be thrown on waivers

Not a bad game! Solid amount of Flames fans in the arena as well. Kings didn't give their crowd a lot to feed off from, it felt surprisingly deflated from the get-go (compared to the CBJ game a week or so ago). Not even "Los Angeles" by blink-182 just before the third could really ignite the crowd. Love that song.

Hamonic was obviously very good defensively. Impressed with Hathaway and Bennett as well. Also, Brodie's skating really stands out in person, he's just so smooth, so effortless. Not impressed with: PP zone entry (they really forced their plan A), Ryan. Rittich actually looked a little shaky to me for what it's worth.

Lastly: Dion Phaneuf. Man. What a shell of a hockey player. Who could have guessed after the 20-goal rookie season. A long time ago, obviously, but, still.

Sounds like it was a quadruple wisdom teeth removal.

Guy will be feeling it for a while.

Listened to the Kings radio feed on XM radio tonight, their announcers seemed to give Valimaki and Andersson a lot praise

I talked a lot of #### about Hamonic last season and the price the flames payed to get him, but I have to say he’s turning me into a fan. He’s been lights out since coming back from injury and this game was probably his best as a flame. His compete level on defense has been Gio-esque. I guess I’m glad I’m not the gm! Keep it up hammer!

Wrong, the Oilers have been the worst team in the league the whole time, standings be damned

Not trying to antagonize, but did you miss the part where Hamonic scored the only goal of the game?

I'm glad to see the Hamonic love after all the crap I read last season where people thought the trade was stupid and that Hamonic was overrated. Ok, he wasn't amazing last year, but nobody was. I blame Gulutzan.

Now you can all see the type of shutdown game Hamonic can bring when required, especially in more physical games. Mark my words, he's going to be incredibly valuable in the playoffs this year (yes I said it).

I've watched Hamonic for years in Long Island and this is the type of player he can be when the games get elevated. Even when he's not playing at an elite level, he's never going to hurt you and he's a strong character guy. Really good defensive defensemen are undervalued these days, but he's as good as it gets in that role.

The Flames historically always lost these heavy, trench warfare games against the California teams.

They can’t all be pretty. This team is legit.
