Those who teach others what narcissism really looks like should just have this recorded, play it for their students and walk away knowing there is nothing left to say.

I guess Trump is responsible for everything good in the world, and everything negative is somebody else's fault.

Rinse and repeat.

Hahahahahaha, well no kidding, your guy won. Who cares about voter suppression if the GOP won?

Gawd, he's such a smarmy ######bag. He treats the media like absolute crap. No elegance or respect in anything he says, and constantly uses passive aggressive commentary to make himself feel better.

And he ends it all with 'it's all the media's fault'.

Why am I not surprised.

Governors race still not decided, hope Adams can pull this out to at least a runoff and maybe take it there.

having a Democrate Governor in that state to reset the boundaries and address the gerrymandering would be amazing

The Lebanese reporter asked him about President Erdogan and Trump clearly had no idea who that was until the reporter added "of Turkey". Even then he looked lost, tried to save face and blame it on the accent but my goodness, just simple stuff is lost on him.

The guy from Yahoo! corrected his approval among blacks at just 8% and Trump blamed him for the division in the country.

In my neck of the woods...Trump can pretend he won all he wants but Trump supporters here are upset today. Sad.

Missouri had some interesting ballot measures:

1) Legislative redestricting - Ammendment to to require partisan fairness in state legislative redistricting (i.e. ant-gerrymandering), limits campaign contributions etc. Essenitally election reform. PASSED 62-38.

2) Medical marijuana with 4% tax to aid veteran services - PASSED 65-35

3) Raise minimum wage to $12 by 2023 - PASSED 62-38 (arkansas also passed this at $11 by 2021).

That is all awesome, I was skimming twitter and there was a post that basically suggested that this was a Blue Wave, just not the wave many of us were expecting. A lot of underlying victories took place

The below exit polls by income also goes against the notion that Trump supporters are of the low income variety.

I would imagine rich people are more likely to support Trump. I just think we laugh at the poor people who support him cause they're so ironically stupid. And they make such great memes.

Here is a stat that to me says it all in terms of how broken and undemocratic the U.S system has become: the Republicans gained 3 seats (last I looked) in the Senate. Total votes for Senator by American voters? 44 million for Democrats and 33 million for Republicans.

That is mind-blowing.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/ampht...es-still-lose/

Now, there are reasons for that: for example, a high number of Senators won re-election in safe Democratic seats, and the top two candidates in California were both democrats. But that, along with the massive gap in the so-called "generic ballot" and you begin to wonder about how stacked the deck is here...

That's because of the gerrymandering going on down there, isn't it?

Not in the Senate, as those elections are conducted at the State level. In the Senate the issue is that the GOP started the night with 40 Senators who were not even up for re-election, and were defending deep red turf that was held by Democrats in a number of places. That, along with the fact that in the Senate a rural vote really counts for way more than an urban one does: consider that Iowa, a state of about 2 million people most of whom are in rural areas has the same number of Senators as California, a state of 40 million people (most of whom live in urban areas).

The divide in the U.S. is increasingly urban vs. rural.

It's because states get equal weight in the Senate regardless of population.

Would be like awarding every province and territory in Canada a veto vote over parliament. The maritimes could band together and dictate policy for the rest of the country.
