While it may be true he is one of the most capable guys for taking faceoffs, the results have not quite been there as of yet:
Bennett: 61.54%
Lindholm: 58.71%
Monahan: 52.8%
Czarnik: 55.56%
Frolik: 55.56%
Backlund: 51.45%
Ryan: 47.78%
Jankowski: 46.27%
Dube: 38.71%

I notice him in that I see a lot of chances and offensive momentum get ruined when he does something to mess it up. To be fair I have been watching him closely because I'm disappointed with the signing.
I don't care about points, what I want from him is to be an effective 4th line center that wins more faceoffs than he loses, drives possession to the offensive zone, cycles the puck and generates shots and opportunities while maintaining the offensive zone.
Everyone saying the 4th line has been good lately forget that Ryan sat a game which was actually the 4th lines best game.
I agree however we need to keep playing him and hopefully he finds some chemistry on the 4th line and starts being more effective.
I've been thoroughly disappointed so far however. We just got Stajan and Brouwer off the books so I don't really want to hate Ryan for the next 2.75 seasons cause he's a similar dead weight.
I hope he turns it around!
