Not that old

Those guys are 2.5-2.75M blueliners.
He's the defenceman version of Frolik (whose cap hit is more than he's actually making, next year much moreso)..

I think that really is a big issue with the Flames is the team speed.

They have some fast guys like Gaudreau, Dube, Czarnik, but unfortunately, 3 of the "core guys" are real slow (Monahan, Tkachuk, Neal). Jankowski is a bit lumbering as well.

The speed thing is a real issue on the backcheck and in the defending. They can try as hard as they want, but they aren't getting back in time to help out.

Jankowski is not lumbering. He only appears that way because he is so freaking tall... *EDIT* Well, maybe that actually means he is "lumbering," but it's not a problem because he is definitely not slow.

His top speed is not slow but his acceleration is average.

Tkachuk, Monahan and Neal aren't speed demons, but they aren't "real slow". backchecking isn't mostly about footraces anyway.

You know when it’s the day after and articles are being written specifically to comment on the reffing that it was bad. We’ll never get a response from the NHL about it, but something needs to be done to ensure refs are held accountable for blunders like last night. The quality of officiating (or lack thereof) should NEVER factor into the standings, but it very well could have if things had gone just a bit differently.

I'm highly amused that fans of a team that ices Mitch Marner have the impertinence to call Gaudreau a midget.

I'm pretty sure he'd hit the roof in excitement if he heard anyone say that

After reading through some post game commentary by fans, I was surprised to find out so many have turned on Babcock and Marleau. Goes to show that anyone can turn into a whipping boy.

It's easy. Follow the NFL's lead and make public mid season firings a thing.

Marner is listed as 6' and Johnny is lucky to be 5'7"...
