Neal with a glorious chance to tie the game. And he misses the net.
Montreal turns around and makes it 3-1.
Way to mail it in Flames

Considering Johnny’s impact on the avg height, I’d say pretty short.

Flames are lucky to be within 2 goals. I'm gonna keep watching though. Maybe they can make a decent game of it by having one good period.
It's a real shame that Neal didn't score on that chance. That opportunity is exactly why they brought him on board. Frustrating to watch him struggle like this.

Disgraceful effort by the Flames so far tonight. Not blaming the officials but they missed a few blatant calls against the Habs and handed them four straight PP’s to get them right back in it. Brutal.

Didn’t see the first, but bssd on the shots on goal and pp’s given in the first 30 mins, it looks like the same fraud team that stole the rangers game.
This D is awful.

Refs don’t like being made looking silly. Hearing how Tkachuk has drawn so many calls gets them watching him closer. Starting to be the boy who cried wolf because he was getting calls last two years that he isn’t now.

Tkachuk set Neal up with a gimme, couldn't even hit the net. That was awful.
Really don't like the third goal, for anybody on the ice.
But the game isn't over!

When Rittich is playing so well, I think the tendency is to fall back on him. The rest of the team is awful this game. Not saying that Smith would have stopped all those shots, but I think the team as a whole would have shown more effort if he was playing.
Hoping for a solid effort in the third.

I love absolutes like this, after one play. You’re right, Monahan should be 100% perfect all season.
