Well as soon as they release all the preseason fodder they should be able to field a better second unit.

Panel just talking about this. Elliott and Hrudey say they need to stay separates, as long term success for the Oilers needs more than 1 line. Kypreos says they need wind now, and that's what works.

Either way, Oilers gave 8.5M to a guy (and changed the market!) and lo and behold he can't produce unless he's got the best player on the planet centreing him.

Makes me all warm inside

Canucks still up 1-0 after 2. WTF is up with the Bruins lately?

The Canucks remind me a lot of the 2014–15 Flames: transitioning from their franchise player to a new young core, getting badly outplayed on a nightly basis yet somehow managing through a combination of fierce, workman fore checking and good goaltending to be finding success in the early part of the season.

They have struggled on the road, and playing three games in four nights(even though two of the teams are AHL), might be taking it's toll on them, they might have the best line in hockey but after that the drop off is like draisaitl like.

Pretty sure McDavieboy took some acting lessons this summer... it was a hook but he really sold the hell out of it there.

What Bennett wouldn't give for a whistle that slow!

I like how aggressive the Preds are on their PK.

Is it just me or did they say the word shutout like 10 times in the span of 1 minute in the Oilers game. Pathetic

Maybe their on their heals because they just put the line that played a 2 minute power play shift back out after a 30 second rest? Well that and they're no good.

Going to have some pretty tired players late in the game when you only have one line

They are getting out hustled by a team on their second night of play and who look like they are just in cruise control. Greasers are so pathetic.

Lucic streamrolls a Preds defenseman from behind, could have been called either charging or boarding, ref right there, no call.

I liked their strategy of standing still and letting the Preds set up the PP without any challenge. If anything it confused the Preds and threw them off for a second
