Scuttlebut was the with what McDaniels did to the Colts, that he pretty much black balled himself out of the rest of the the NFL. I don't think one of the more traditional organizations like the Packers would break that barrier. Plus the Packers are one of the organizations who would pretty much have anyone in the NFL be willing to take that job.
As for Fitz, I do think he does want to play out his career in Arizona. It's just too bad that at this stage of his career they are this bad.

Yeah their season is pretty well on the brink. Not often you see Super Bowl contending roster saddled with maybe the worst starting QB in the league. Their issue is bigger than that as they can't cut him this offseason without incurring a $16.5 million dead cap penalty. They basically need a team to do them a solid like the Browns did for the Texans a few seasons back which is unlikely.
