People are motivated one of 2 ways...positive energy or negative energy.
A good leader has to be good with using either.
Peters was and Frolic responded.
Good for both of them.

When Hamonic’s healthy I don’t see how you can scratch either one in favor of Stone. And I like Stone, think he gets a bad rap, but Andersson and Valimaki are better players.

Peters has won me over as the coach for the Flames. Has an incredible pulse on the team, makes those tiny adjustments that changes momentum for the boys.

Made a perfect coaches challenge, would think GG would have saved it for something later.

This is a solid, well rounded team. All 4 lines can play, our special teams look good, and hopefully Smith is rounding into form.

Tkachuk is an incredibly effective hockey player, he simply does everything. Tied for the team lead in points now, while playing shutdown minutes.

I think you save timeouts, not challenges. If the video guy says challenge, you do

It's nice to see a coach use challenges and timeouts to a successful outcome.

I thought after the Pastrnak goal he was making defensive notes or something.

Frolik's foot hustle tonight sure made a great difference along with the 3M line.

Also, it was great hearing the 'Dome roar for Johnny's 100th and Valimaki's first!

Yeah me too! I'd like to give kudos to the other two coaches as well, their breakout are crisp and fast, when they got pinned in their own zone, they rarely panic.

Also TNT has won me over as the new goal song, way better crowd interaction.

Hells Bells for the intro was also awesome.

PP needs work though.

The drop pass entry + dump and chase doesn't seem to be working for them.

I'll have to experience it in person. Too quiet on TV. Are people chanting the "Oi"s?

Calgary Flames PR @CgyFlamesPR
#Flames defenseman, Juuso Valimaki (20 years, 11 days) is the youngest Finnish player to score a goal in Calgary Flames franchise history surpassing Markus Granlund (20 years, 323 days) for that honour.

Channeling my McAvoy rage into something useful like drinking on a Wednesday night.

What an exciting game to watch. I am loving watching each line just role over the boards and do their thing.

Valimaki face is the new score face.

Anderson looked really sharp. Maybe my skating concerns were unfounded, the bruins are a quick club and he held his own.

Wagner going from the ducks to the bruins didn't make me like him more.

People in our section did.

Flames are doing much more to interact with the crowd, get noise building. Didn't seem like the library from last year.

Yes agree, they need to figure out a way to enter into the zone. Once they gained the zone, they were able to work the puck around. What I don't understand is the personnel he employs on the second PP unit.

Solid game from the Flames - every line was skating hard and involved, and it is nice to see that this is usually the case so far this season. Solid coaching once again by Peters. I won't lie.... I thought this game was earmarked as a loss, as it seems the Bruins just seem to find a way to beat the Flames, but the Flames out-classed Boston tonight.

I didn't have much of a problem with the McAvoy hit on Gaudreau. I didn't think it was that late to be honest. What I don't like is that Gaudreau seems to be targetted more. No, it isn't the same like when Ferland was on that line. Slashing is probably the same, but outright big hits? Nah, only rarely did that happen. If teams continue targetting Gaudreau, I wonder how Peters and/or Treliving address it. Ferland was such an ideal fit on that top line (not taking anything away from Lindholm, or even speaking about the trade value). Peluso isn't as bad as people make him out to be, but he isn't going to be on the ice at the same time as Gaudreau. Ferland is really a fairly rare commodity.

Also, that was yet another fun to watch game. What a huge relief. I would bet Gaudreau is ok, and hopefully he is.
