Should be 2-0. Smith working his kinks out gave SJ a goal.

Biggest thing to notice:
Transistion game is strong 4 lines deep. No one is trapped in the D-zone. Just pressure, skate and kill.

Good first period for the Flames. Shots 12 CGY - 7 SJS a nd it seemed a bit more one sided than that.

Last time we saw the Flames play this fast they had high shooting percent and low corsi

Won a round in the playoffs they did

Unsustainable! Lol

Been waiting way too long for a lineup like this with a system like this.

It's early, and preseason, but after seeing Lindholm and Hanifin a few games now, you have to be liking that trade. Both of them are much more multi dimensional than Ferland and Hamilton.

Lindholm to me specifically looks like he will be a strong 60 point player for several years.

Wow. Peters said the Flames were going to play fast. They played fast that period.

Also, Flames have a 62.5% CF% after period 1. So that's good. haha

Paused the online feed for a few seconds and have Wills and Lou on instead. Takes a bit of work to get them synched but it is worth it.

Shots 12-7 for Calgary despite having to kill two penalties.

Not bad, not bad

Do we have a good team AND a good coach at the same time?

God, wouldn't that be nice.

Both Dube and Valimaki have been noticeable in good ways. I wouldn't be mad if this was the lineup to start the year.

Rasmus though... Things aren't easy which is great for a change.

I read somewhere that Gio works harder on one aspect of his game each off season.

IIRC, he worked more than usual on his shot this year.
