Wasn't Yamamoto supposed to be one of their break outs on the papa club this year? Spector thought he was going to be last year lol.
Looking like a non-factor against rookies, aside from being robbed once by that beast Parsons.

I'm curious as to what you mean by your first sentence. He's not looked anywhere near the liability he has been the last couple of years from what I have seen.

Same. I suspect this is more about a feeling out process and finding his game in NA . Maybe he's just not dynamic enough to stand out.

Capitals are gonna sign him apparently.
EDIT: Another report has the Knights looking into him as McPhee is watching him in person.

EDIT: Might have said "NHLPA Director of Fan Development."
|
"In 2018 Ference joined the NHL as its first director of social impact, growth and fan development. His focus will be on grass-roots growth, community development efforts, engaging minority fans and players, and better facilitating relations between players and the league.[13]"

After the Oilers contract blunder, he played a full year in the CHL and was expected to get drafted somewhere in round 5/6. Went back to Russia instead

4-1 good guys.
Dube
Pollock
Eatbread
Christiansen
Dube and Parsons a clear level above everyone else. Eatbread and Foo not far behind. IMO, Kylington has been the best D man. Although Valimaki has settled in a bit since moving from AOM and paired with Christianson.

Yamamoto is one of those players who often looks invisible but then scores out of nowhere.

Perhaps he has improved and I'm now more aware of any bad mistakes he makes, but there have been several area pass attempts off of his stick that are blatant turnovers. Combine that with his roaming without the puck, and I can see him getting burned a lot positionally against better competition. The roaming with the puck is one thing, but without the puck is a different story.

I'd be concerned about Yamamoto if I was an Oiler fan. This is a guy that was expected to play on McDavids wing and he's invisible in a rookie game

This maybe a little controversial but I haven't been impressed with Foo so far. I was expecting a lot more from him but he seems to be losing the puck of his stick a lot, almost as though he is trying too hard to impress.
Dube on the other hand just makes it look effortless.

Every time I have watched Yamamoto he has looked invisible, and I have never seen him score.

Maybe because you're looking for it?
Every kid out there has done the things you're suggesting. I have seen some really good lead passes from him and some pretty solid defense.
