I think an arrest in those circumstances is a waste of time, money and resources. Did it escalate into something wildly inappropriate? No, because Panik wasn't drunk and disorderly.
^ That’s what I thought too. He looked to be making a phone call and not paying attention to the cop. Seemed more like a guy thinking ‘are you kidding me?’ when the cop was engaging with him, and knowing that if you do anything the cop doesn’t like, you are certainly in for some form of beating.
What? He's clearly trashed and breaking the law by not leaving the property and ignoring the officer's directions. He's the clear definition of drunk and disorderly.
He wasn't violent, so give him that, but a trip to the drunk tank isn't that bad of an ending here.
