Mbappe needs to tone that down - too good of a player for it and he’s just embarrassing himself.

Feel bad for Belgium - didn’t have their best effort today and think some of the fouls went against them too.

Full marks for France though - one of the best rosters coming in and have a wealth of talent. Underrated part of their roster is how good Umtiti and Varane are as a CB pair.

If I were the ref I would've wanted to wait until 97 minutes to end the game, just because of Mbappe. Wasn't expecting to see no goals for Belgium.

Just can't see either Croatia or England scoring a goal, that France defense combined with the midfield is just a fortress. They've only conceded one goal this tournament you could could call a defensive lapse, and even that took an inch perfect ball from Messi. Don't think either Croatia or England will be good enough to threaten France in open play so any chance they have will be set pieces.

Too bad about Mbappe though, phenomenal player but the antics are already gross.

too bad, hoped Belgium would make it. But Lukaku/Hazard/KDB weren't good enough today against a really solid French defense.

It's weird to think but England may have the best shot for that reason alone - they have been deadly on set pieces and Southgate has had them really thinking differently in that area.

I feel like the France forwards and midfields would tear England apart though.

Croatia only really would have a shot because they have a midfield that can keep up with France but I think they would have a hard time creating in the final 3rd.

France will be heavy favorites in the final either way IMO.

I've been very impressed with Pavard too, France are so young they could easily win the next couple major tournaments. As for Belgium they just couldn't break France down at all, only Hazard looked kind of threatening but even then it was mostly on the perimeter.

Yup - they will still be young 4 years from now - only Lloris, Matudi, & Giroud are over 30. Them and England are two of the youngest teams in the tournament. https://www.statista.com/statistics/...ge-player-age/

These guys are all still young enough to play in 2022 and could even be better then:

Pavard - 22
Varane - 25
Umtiti - 24
Hernandez - 22
Mendy - 23

Pogba - 25
Lemar - 22
Tolisso - 23
Kante - 27
Fekir - 24

Griezmann - 27
Mbappe - 19
Dembele - 21
Thauvin - 25

Plus you have these guys not even on the squad:

Digne - 24
Zouma - 23
Coman - 22
Rabiot - 23
Martial - 22
Bakayoko - 23
Laporte - 24

This team should be a force at Euro 2020 and World Cup 2022 but of course you never know. Germany had a really young team in 2014 and looked poised to repeat...we all know what happened there though.

It would make me feel better if I knew a few of you were cheering for Croatia.

What a crazy ride it has been so far, but not over yet. The nerves are starting to settle in now being so close.

Dare to dream.

I'm all in for Croatia now. Croatia for the Cup.

A France/Croatia final would be really interesting, but if I'm honest, I just cant see any of the remaining teams beating this French side.

Offensively dynamic but defensively stingy. Thats a tough combination.

I just really dont want to see Griezmann hoisting the World Cup and doing his stupid dance with his stupid hair and his stupid face.

Locke, every team you cheer for loses. CroFlames doesn't want you on his side I don't think.

I'm rooting for Croatia. Viva la underdog!

That and England is the Maple Leafs of international soccer. Why would anyone want to support that?

Personally I like when a team like Croatia who has never been there makes it to the finals but a France - England final is really intriguing for all the extracurricular stuff off the pitch that will surround that match up.

I'm leaning England because even though they had the easier route at least they actually won a knockout game - opposed to Croatia squeezing through on PKs in back to back games.

Yeah I don't see how England or Croatia possibly compete with this French team unless they just play Mourinho football and hope for some set piece magic or penalties.

The scary thing is that France team isn't even really playing to its potential. They're winning, but they're not even really firing on all cylinders offensively.
