Both seem like low impact signings.

One guy outscored out entire bottom six and the other has massive offensive upside

seems like an upgrade to me

Looks to me like he had a noticeable year with the Bruins AHL team, less so the Bruins.

Wouldn't that be exactly the opposite of how Ryan was utilized in Carolina? He was on the ice for offensive zone starts and the PP. He was never utilize on the PK.

65.5% offensive zone starts vs 34.5% defensive, according to hockey reference.

22 seconds average of shorthanded time vs 2:01 of PP time.

This is not a Stajan replacement on paper. Stajan was deployed as a defensive center.

Looks like another right shooting C/RW with speed and a good shot.
The competition for the last few spots is going to be high. Foo, Mangiapane, Czarnik, Lazar, Dube, Hathaway.... Brouwer...

I'm feeling some player movement tomorrow. unless all they're doing is Czarnik and Ryan.
Even then it feels like Brouwer could move. Free up majority of Ryan and Czarniks cap in one move.

Hm. Had great AHL numbers last year (64GP/25G/44A/69P) but only 10 NHL games.

I heard that acquiring Brouwer was Plan Z for a few teams if they can’t get Neal, JVR and about 23 other guys.

A former Bruin who wears #27? That sounds familiar.
