Kings will find a way to weasel out of most of those contracts by then.

I mean Doughty is good... but he's not $11 Million good.
This will be an albatross of a contract in 2 years.

Don't be silly. He's Drew Doughty.

This one is not going to be a good contract by year 5.
We potentially should have waited to move Hamilton until after these crazy contracts were given out - his deal looks even better now

Kings had to pay up for him but I feel he's one of those guys that has a lot of miles on him and this deal may sting them on the back half.

Or just, you know, not traded him.

Kings will regret that contract, not as much as the Coilers signing Lucic, but they will regret it!

Doughty at age 36, 37 is still going to be better than 95% of the sport.

He's been a Norris nominee 3/4 seasons, winning one. It's a huge cap hit but Doughty is worth the money.

If you're having a conversation about the best defenseman in the league, and your conversation doesn't include Doughty, you're having a flawed conversation.
More importantly though...
McDavid and Draisaitl: $21M. Kopitar and Doughty: $21M
Discuss.

Prob worth it but talk about cap hell with old players. We don't have to worry about LA.
I have a feeling we have already seen the best of Quick and it's all downhill for him from here.
