I doubt Sprong is going anywhere either.
Much more likely the Flames trade for the guys those teams want to move in order to make room for the guys we'd really want. Like Bryan Rust, or Connor Brown for example.

Doesn’t upgrade our depth up front at all. We can’t be dealing away one of our top 6 forwards if we want to increase our scoring depth.
Something like Fox or Kylington or Stone for Coyle or Niederreitter or whoever is how you’d increase our depth.

Oh dear. Just saw someone suggest that skjei in new York is better than Hamilton and anyone who doesn't agree 'needs to get there eyes check'. Though others would rather use zuccarello.
Also, a hockey writer suggests that if we'd trade Hamilton to Carolina, it's possible they then flip him to the oilers for puljujarvi straight up. My goodness.
Twitter is up there with hf.

Well yeah for sure, but we only take on $300k more for this next season and then he's off the books. The Wild would be stuck with Brouwers $4.5 million for two season.

So the max contract is now @ 15.9m per year.
I think it would be worth it to offer Tavares that. In comparison to 4.5 Brouwer a waste of money, why not waste that on the extra premium for that.
