The Thomas Sowell video never touched on systemic racism. It was an opinion based conversation about free market libertarianism. A pretty boring one too unfortunately.
That's because every Rubin video is literally the same thing.

A Calgary woman says she felt racially profiled after being accused of shoplifting while shopping at a southeast optometry store on Mother's Day.
Much of the incident was caught on video by the woman's teenage daughter. The video shows the sales associate at Southcentre's Pearle Vision store suggesting Linda Nothing, who is Indigenous, stole two pairs of glasses.
In the video, security is called to the store and, at the request of the sales associate, Nothing is asked to empty her bags and remove a shawl.
"I said you were looking at them and I wondered if you knew where they were," the sales associate says in the video.
"I told you I didn't know and you chose not to believe me," Nothing replies while repacking her purse and putting her shawl back on.
"You called security and implied that she stole," says Nothing's daughter.
"I know what I filled up. I don't know if she's hiding it somewhere," responds the associate.

Holy ####, so they had already ordered something there before and were wondering about insurance confirmation while just browsing around? Then they're promptly accused of shoplifting? And not even an apology after.
Send that employee directly to sensitivity training.
A GoFundMe was set up Wednesday to raise money to send a mariachi band to the law office of Aaron Schlossberg, who was in the news yesterday after a video circulated of him harassing customers for not speaking English and threatening to call immigration agents on the deli’s Spanish-speaking employees.
The organizer, Alt Immigration, exceeded its $500 goal, raising $1,069 in 14 hours. In an update, it wrote that a local New York City mariachi band agreed to perform for free.
The campaign reads: “Raising $500 to send a Mariachi band to cheer up the staff and attorneys at The Law Office of Aaron M. Schlossberg Esq. P.L.L.C. after a difficult day. We are requesting the band to sing the famous, endearing, and warm spanish children song, La Cucaracha, the cockroach. We are countering hate and racism with the sound of music. Any leftover money will be used to send a delicious Taco Truck lunch to the staff and a copy of all federal and state statute mentioning undocumented immigrants do not qualify for welfare.”

She should have declined to remove her shawl or let them search her bag. She was certainly under no obligation to do either of those things

Another update. Schlossberg's law firm has now been evicted out its building. The media has also found out he is not a member of the New York Bar Association even though he claims he is on his website. The Google and Yelp reviews for his law firm are in the toilet. Other videos have surfaced of his aggressively racist behavior. His life has been thoroughly destroyed within only 36 hours. Note to self: do not be outwardly racist the next time I'm in Manhattan.
Evicted: Racist lawyer bro Aaron Schlossberg booted from office by landlord
Scummy guy receives comeuppance. If only the timing of the mariachi band could work out to play as he's being evicted and carting his stuff out. A story of both justice and humor. How nice.

I am still looking for a more reputable source report that he is not a member of the New York Bar.
But if true, probably has massive legal consequences.
AFAIK, to practice law in New York you must be a member of the New York Bar. To claim to be a member of the New York Bar and advertising legal services as an attorney in New York is pretty much fraud.
edit: According to the original report the New York State Bar Association claims he is not a member. And the New York State Bar Association says this on their website
Quote:
"Q: Can the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) verify whether or not an attorney is a member of the New York Bar in good standing?
A: No. The NYSBA is not the official New York Bar and is not responsible for attorney licenses or registration. Please contact the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA), the official licensing/registration unit: 212.428.2800, www.nycourts.gov"
We don't seem to have a royal wedding thread, so I'll put it here: if you guys want to see a black American preacher telling some of the most privileged people on Earth that when love is the way, there's no hunger or poverty in the world, today's your lucky day.
What about the Serial killers lurking in Canada? Praying on Indigenous Women for years. You don't hear it in the media. The Government does nothing as well to solve it. It made my stomach turn reading comments saying Racism is a small problem in Canada. KKK is present in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I hear about it in the media all the time. There's all sorts of coverage of the National Inquiry Into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women on the CBC. What media do you listen to?
And do you really think the police aren't investigating them? The problem is that missing persons cases are really tough to get any traction on without a body. And we have no idea how many of the women have been murdered or are still alive. Many homeless people and addicts living on the fringes of society are missing persons.

Oh really you have links you can prove the media is always making this front and centre? Just like the Colton Boushie situation the RCMP don't give a damn about First Nations. Don't even try to pretend you know how it's to be First Nations.

The police, specifically in the Vancouver area, have a terrible history of NOT investigating the missing Indigenous women from that area. They completely botched the Pickton investigation early on.

Go to the CBC website and scroll through the stories on CBC TV and CBC radio. You'll find find a bunch on the inquiry into missing women.

Police all over the world have a history of not investigating the disappearance of prostitutes, street people, and those living on the margins of society. Regardless of their race.
