Perfect storm tonight, I highly doubt the series will look like this. Jets coming off a huge game 7 win two nights ago, crowd was absolutely insane and pushed the Jets from the start.
Meanwhile Knights were coming off some down time and were now facing a much stronger opponent with the above factors. They were thrown off, you could see it in their passes.
They'll get their bearings for game 2 and it should be a great series.

It’s going to be tough for Vegas to beat Winnipeg since Winnipeg is much better than Vegas. We shall see. Sometimes the better team does lose in a 7 game series.

perhaps obvious that huge revenue, fan base, team management , ownership , players etc.... have a huge interest in the outcome.
You may not care less, entirely entitled to your opinion, though why bother. This happens (almost) every year. A few teams get very close to going all the way. Do they deserve it? In any given moment awesome things can happen and not happen. It makes it more fun when you you care and pay attention.

I don't think game 1 will repeat itself, I have a hard time imaging that. But I think people have gone from not giving Vegas enough credit to giving them way too much. Kelly Hrudey said he would feel positive if he were Vegas after the 3rd period where they had 5 shots and literally no offense. Vegas had very few looks last night, and when they did have a good transition game Winnipeg had the same but cashed in a lot more. Vegas' only real chance imo is to do what Nashville tried and lock it down. But they don't have the top 4 D quality to pull that off.
I think that's what EOI is driving at; on paper this isn't really close. But Vegas has an 'it factor' that may show up again.

The Jets have better talent on their roster. But it's the being a team that has got Vegas this far.
I think the Jets should win as Vegas has not come across a team with the depth that Winnipeg has. But I expect Vegas will be much better next game and won't go out easy. In a team game the best collection of individual talent doesn't always win.
