Even better! He could hit Chiarelli with a steel chair before revealing his identity!

Have to imagine the Hurricanes could be a better balanced LA Kings. Couple stars leading the way except they don't have a Quick in net.

He's not, he could suck, you never know. To be safe, we will trade you Hamilton, a bonafide top pairing defenceman in the NHL for your magic bean.

Pretty good result overall. Buffalo gets their 1st overall, Montreal the lowest of the three. Most importantly, three good players who will be out East and not in the West.
Also, #### the Oilers. Have fun with 10th after your dumpster fire of a season.

Dahlin and Ristolainen is going to be a fearsome top pairing for years to come. Jack Eichel is a franchise center, and Mittlestadt should be a solid #2.
Now comes the part where you build something respectable around your top talent. Over to you Botterill.

Dude, your team has Eichel on it. They lost a lottery and still got a first overall talent. That's better than any first round pick the Flames have ever made.
(Okay maybe McInnis. We'll see. Point is, it's not like the Sabres haven't had any breaks.)

Naw. Buffalo has had two 2nd round picks that are still developing into their current core. Edmonton seems to be working on their third core in a row, gobbling up a record number of #1 overalls.
No other teams deserve the oilers moniker, the oilers are the oilers of the whole NHL.

Eichel has to be really happy tonight. He's been vocally despondent in recent months and rightfully so.
