We need a new term to replace "Glue Gun" that fits the Peter's narrative imo
All indications point to us needing it by about game 6 when we show up "unprepared" whilst out shooting and chancing the team 3 to 1.

I'm at peace with this hire. I'm sure Treliving realizes this hire could determine his future with the organization so at the end of the day you have to have some faith in the people running the organization. If this works out we all win and if it doesn't we will be on to new management and another reboot for the organization. On the surface this hiring doesn't look like a home run, sexy hire but that doesn't always mean it's going to lead to failure. I would have preferred a guy like AV who you could almost guarantee would get a high level of play out of the team and multiple playoff births but it is what it is and there's no point in getting overly upset about something that's clearly not going to happen.

Expect more of the same. This organization is a mess from the top down and it doesn't look like it will get any better. It is becoming so easy to dislike this team as there is very little worth liking (bad owners/management/more useless players than good/####ty arena). We almost need a full organizational reset as we have been stuck in this rut of mediocrity for close to 3 decades minus a couple flashes.

Sorry, but you said "not well liked in the hockey world", that is a LOT different than "many people on Calgary Puck".
I am just curious if you actually mean the latter, when you stated the former?
And what is meant by "his poor public call out"?

No, you're going to have to provide citations for that.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. You actually have no idea what you're talking about. CP isn't he hockey world. It's been widely reported that he is highly regarded among hockey executives and multiple teams have expressed interest in hiring him.

I find it hilarious how most people probably watched less than 3 Carolina hockey games this past year. Just because it is not Sutter or AV doesn't mean we should start crapping on the new coach already.
Give him a chance and see what he can accomplish. Is that too hard?
Remember the countless times the fans on here have been wrong? Remember when we were all sooooo ticked off that management didn't select Alexei Cherepanov (RIP) or Angelo Esposito in the draft? Or when we all thought the Flames had 3 potential Team Canada defensemen with the addition of Bouwmeester? Then again, last year we thought we had the best dman core in the league?
All I am saying is, if you really truly don't know about the guy (I certainly don't) and basing it on a few posters on CP, lighten up and keep an open mind - Enjoy the weather outside instead of having a bad day.

Is it the Peters era already? Let's let the guy get hired before we start assuming its unfair to poke fun at him so early.
Lighten up.

I swear some CP posters just come on here to complain.
"I don't care who they replace GG with, I just want him gone".

So you made it up based on your opinion of other "fan/media" opinions, not actually NHL people talking NHL coaches.
Ok, thanks for that.
Now lets get back to actual facts people.

I admittedly don't know much about the exact coaching styles of Vigneault and Peters and how they'd fit with the Flames . I know enough about Sutter- would love him as coach, maybe for sentimental reasons.
At face value, I see guys with good NHL track records in Sutter and Vigneault, and a coach with no NHL success in Peters (though on a crappy team).
Serious question- can somebody summarize what 'they' are saying that makes Peter a frontrunner here? I heard on 960 demeanor-wise he is a bit Sutter and a bit Burke.
