Alexei Kovalev would probably come cheap, I agree.

Glad the fans got to have some fun

Glad the ridiculous amount of bandwagon fans went home sad and had to sit through the ass kicking

Thank you Flames, for not ending the season with a loss.

Jankowski should really get a look at some top 6 minutes next year.

NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL
Mark Jankowski is the fourth different rookie in @NHLFlames franchise history to score four goals in a game, joining Joe Nieuwendyk (2x), Jiri Hrdina and Sam Bennett. #NHLStats #VGKvsCGY

Kristen Anderson @KdotAnderson
Jankowski: “Just to be mentioned with those names is pretty cool. Sam was giving it to me on the bench a little bit, like, ‘Hey, don’t stop now. Try and beat me.’ It was a pretty cool night and just one of those days. Our whole team was going.”

even with how bad the last month has been is kinda crazy to think all they needed was six more wins...I can think of six games off the top of my head that the Flames just straight up blew it

Don't they say, you could win $1 million? I bet there are caveats so they can weasel out.

There has to be a moonwalking Shetland pony to end the era of GG.

Vegas fans are too nice and polite to make a good ATL.

Mark Jankowski scored more goals today than Henrik Sedin did all season

What a beauty

I don't think this was a meaningless game. This was the last home game of an incredibly disappointing season, against a team that you haven't beaten once. I would hope that this game had meaning for the players to try and give the loyal fans something to cheer about. They did, and I am happy they did so, regardless of the standings.

It is always entertaining to watch a team that scores. Ferland started this game off so well with his aggressive forecheck and defence. Foo looks like an NHL'er out there - he has been a pleasant surprise given how the preseason went, and how his first half of the season in the AHL went. I didn't think he would have developed and adapted this quickly. Andersson looks good too - though I hope he gets a bit faster (which is entirely possible).

Jankowski. What can you say? He was lucky, but you also have to be good to be that lucky.

Lots of downs this season, but there were some ups and I am glad that I caught almost all of them. This is a good core still with a lot of potential, and a few off-season changes can honestly make a world of difference to this team. Shore-up the RW, hire a coach who can implement a system that really plays to this team's strengths, and this season will just be a forgotten memory. There are a tonne of good pieces on this team.
