There are 20 players under par through 1 round of the Masters, with 7 major champions who have combined to win 19 majors. Nine are ranked among the top 25 in the world.

When Spieth starts hot he almost always wins.
Would love to see a Rory-Jordan Sunday dual - my top two picks this week.

And just like that, Spieth implodes on the first hole and relinquishes the lead.

			Spieth +3 thru 2 holes
Wind is up today...a great equalizer.

Freddy cruisin along at -1. Really hope he can keep it together.

A rather calamitous start for Jordan with a bogey at 2 now as well. Which he'll probably follow up with 10 straight birdies.

That would seem more likely if he was playing well lately. Other than last week, he's not been the same as he used to be, especially with the putter. It looks like 2 of his dropped shots were short putts, which is not a good sign.

Afternoon feature groups have Tiger and Hadwin's group. I think I'll pick that over ESPN's coverage.

Everyone is tied for the lead now, including Hadwin! 8 players at -3.

Oh boy, not another US Open style Masters like the year Zach Johnson won- that was awful. The Masters is about highlight reel shots, not grinding it out. Must be a tough set up- no wind and weather is great. Rain tomorrow should soften it up.

So is Spieth still painfully slow or can I actually like the guy this time around? I think he's an amazing golfer and its nice to see a guy at the top of his game, but I just can't bring myself to enjoy someone who takes forever on each shot.

He's making a mini-comeback. He's birdied 12 two straight days

Currently projected at +7 but it is obviously way early to really know how close it will be to that.

The old saying comes to mind; you can't win the tournament on the first day, but you can lose it (ex. Garcia yesterday)

I think it'll be +4. Someone will get to -6. If you're at +5 you'll be nervous.

Woods started this morning 7 back, now just 4. He can claw his way back in with a solid round.
Curious to see how Hadwin follows up yesterday's excellent start.

Ideally Tiger shoots 90 so we can hear the CBS crew on suicide watch. And it's not a major until Phil goes Phil, triple bogey on 9.

Fred Couples comes to the Masters every year, shoots 72 4 times and picks up a nice cheque.
