Johnny losing focus and commitment to the defensive game has led to a poor final third of the season for him, point production aside. His +/- has plummeted from one of the best in the top ten scorers for good reason.

Hopefully the lazy/poorly timed line changes aren't a thing next season also.

I like the look of this pp with Anderson, not rushing but at the same time putting shots towards net regularly.

Or it may have something to do with having no competent right winger and a centre who is playing injured, so essentially having to do everything himself...

Opponents know they just need to key on Gaudreau and can ignore everyone else on that line.

Yeah, I love Gaudreau, but that was a real fly by. And he has made some poor blue line decisions that have led to goals in the last few games.

Hmmmm. Maybe being sat on this powerplay as a result?

It’s debatable if he had to go around the net after the shot in the first place. Watch his effort in “hustling” back.

Referring to Bennett’s battle on the half boards when Ferland sauced a puck 5 feet in the air at him for no reason?

I’d commend Bennett for not letting that get by him when on-rushing Sharks were pressuring him.

Interesting to see Gaudreau benched off that PP due to his fly by. I can’t even blame Johnny for not giving a #%^* anymore. He’s done everything he can for this team, and almost everyone else hasn’t done a damn thing.

Only Gully would bench Gaudreau but keep putting this plugs out there no matter what they do.

At least JG got back.
Want to be respectful .

You need to watch that sequence again.

I think he was headed off until he saw it was a break going the other way. Watch Gaudreau's effort in skating by the guy who scored.

Everybody that goes to the net has a case of Meathands Marchant lately.

Just checked the score. Yup, that's about what I expected. But hey, looks like we scored a goal so that's good, right? Baby steps.

Sigh. Really? What's with all these posters and their agendas with certain players?

The plugs are playing OK. Gaudreau made a critical error (plus he's back on so I don't know if he was benched or just not ready to go on for some reason).

Man, this team is not good at a single thing under Gulutzan. This season can't end soon enough.

This isn't a comment on whether or not he can play big minutes next year but Rasmus sure has the composure and ability to QB a powerplay. I can see how he's done so well in the AHL.

At this point, I'm glad he is.

No they’re not.

The plugs need to contribute, and not be plugs. There’s no room in the NHL for “plugs” anymore. Sure, it’s the Flames fault for having them signed to contracts - but that doesn’t mean they’re playing “OK”.

Bad players simply can’t be on rosters in this league anymore.
