Well at least Tiger looks like he’ll make some noise in the masters, so we’ve got that to look forward to

The nationality of the players don't matter, we just need some young hungry players looking to earn a contract.

There's a reason that coaches don't use them like this. They don't work. In fact, they often encourage the other team.

Is that coaching? The players? IDK how you fix it.

I think it starts with having a coach that won't put up with it and won't be passive when it happens.

I don't know why Monahan is playing. He can barely pass the puck.

I know "you make your own luck", and I'm not arguing that the Flames are where they are because of bad luck.
But that being said, we have consistently had the worst puck luck I can remember seeing from a team through an entire season.

Best part about punching Cameron in the face.
It takes him 20 games to react.

Sure. And Giordano had a pass picked off right through the middle of the ice that no competent defenseman would ever attempt. Hamilton made a terrible penalty 4 on 4 that no competent defenseman would ever make.
Breakdowns happen to even guys like Erik Karlsson. This team's issues are far deeper than one supposedly cancerous player who needs to go who happens to have been our best player period two seasons ago.

May shut him and the other broken guys down after today. I hope so anyways. I'd like to see what some of our kids can do in these final ten.

Lots of flames fans in the arena, and f-all to cheer for. I think I'm going to start booing Brouwer. Slug back a few beers and head to the peelers.
Apparently it's free Krispy Kreme's for a knights shutout so there always that toblook forward to down here.

Cassie Campbell saying the Flames haven't played that bad. They don't deserve a 4-0 effort.
Wut?

I know you said they aren't where they are due to luck, but you just don't get unlucky for an 82 game season. They simply aren't doing enough of the right things to create luck. Bad low percentage decisions in their own end over and over again, and not being simple enough in the offensive zone leads to the appearance of "bad puck luck".

You have to be good to be lucky, you have to lucky to be good.
It's actually one of the very few sports cliches i agree with. Good luck only comes when youre good.

I wonder what Gullys pep talk was like during the intermission, probably very monotone.

Often you hear CGY players and coaches talk in pregame about how the other team is fast and how they have to stay above them.
You never hear other teams talk about CGY being a fast team, playing fast or careful about how the Flames transition.
That is a damning remark on this years team.
Also, in the first I saw Hamilton playing hard, cutting plays off on the end boards and competing hard. In the second he reverted to his more passive defensive game.
When I watch the top pairing only one guy plays like a true top pair in the defensive zone and that is obviously Gio. Gio closes on guys and finishes or plays through them, he takes guys to the boards with some vigour.
Dougie chooses not to do this as his default. He will close and prefer to keep his gap but he will not finish guys out. He basically skates with them and uses his stick.
His penalty that led to the first goal is just the product of a guy not closing and finishing hard. Gio rarely takes these kinds of penalties in his end because he plays with a lot of fire and takes guys out.
Hamilton, great offensively, needs to man up and play harder defensively.

Krispy Kremes at the peelers might be something you want to steer clear of.
