That's probably it as far as playoff hopes are concerned. What a waste of an opportunity tonight, especially after a couple of favorable OOTs in recent days.

Unprepared once again on home ice, and Smith with a rusty effort. That's pretty much the story of the game right there. Great effort in the 3rd, but too little too late. If they had brought that same effort in the 1st period, we're likely celebrating a win right now. Man, this team is so damn frustrating.

Nothing like seeing must-score power plays where pucks get to Gaudreau and Hamilton on their strong sides and they spend the next two seconds collecting the puck because the weren't in position to one-time those things directly into a wide open net.

Don't agree... should score more than 2 goals on 50+ shots. He was rusty but the whole team was terrible in the first.

This game sucks especially, because the Islanders beating us puts them another step closer to a better drafting spot with our own draft pick.

They were never gonna run the table.

Last Sunday night seemed about as low as they've been all year. But a good week and some help got them back to be in the playoff conversation.

Still lots of work to be done and very tough work but they didn't lose their shot tonight.

A little help tomorrow from the OOT softens the blow of tonight.

It ain't over. Not even close.

What’s this?

A banana peel game at home after a successful road trip where they collected five of six points?

Of course the Flames fall flat on their ****ing faces.

Great OOT the past couple of days and as per usual the Flames just refuse to make it easy on themselves.

This season has been the most disappointing one I can remember for ages.

Of all the easily fixable things about this teams powerplay, this one frustrates me the most.

If not for the winning streak last year, this team misses the playoffs two years in a row. Let's not forget the Ducks sweep. Gully MUST go. Otherwise I really believe Calgary as a city will not get their stadium and lose their team. It's almost like someone is doing it on purpose at this point. The owners and upper management cannot be this stupid. It's gotta be on purpose

That first period was so bad I didn't even bother watching the last two.

Probably. Flames are scared of McDavid, and the Oilers are gonna get up for that game like their lives depend on it. Throw in the Flames' struggles on home ice, and that game on Tuesday is a recipe for disaster.

I hope I'm wrong.

Meh. The countdown to Gulutzen being fired into the sun is now at 12 games.

That’s the only positive I got out of this one.

Yet another wasted season. Sigh

I can't be bothered to listen to the post game. Can someone tell me what excuses the team uses to justify not showing up until they were down 4 - 1? And if there is news on Tkachuk?

I hate losing to the Oilers but I really want to see Gulutzan lose to the Oilers again. What a bum!
