Hathaway is also a vital penalty killer for us, arguably our most effective one this season with the obvious deployment caveats.

On the basis of goals alone Stewart is a top 9 forward on this team and it isn't even close.

I mean sure, I guess if you want to take a wait and see approach that's your right, but keep in mind there's a reason the Wild gave him away for free.

Back when I used to play chell be a gm mode (2009-2013) this guy always ended up replacing Iggy after he retired.

and we got him for free..

Would he be worth more in your eyes if we traded a pick for him?

Lol the overreaction to adding a top 9 player for zero cost is hilarious.

Ask fans of other teams if you don't believe me.

There is a reason he couldn't stick with any team.

Free asset. Potential upside. What's not to like?

Who's in for a jersey group buy?!?

I like. Prices are obviously high this deadline and this is a free asset, that fits the Flames need for a big winger.

I was talking about possibly claiming Christ Stewart with my brother in law yesterday and he said this:

"My friend trained a player on the Avs a few years ago and the whole team was upset when they traded him away in the Erik Johnson deal."

Apparently a great teammate.

Wild fans on twitter and HF seem to be sad to see him go, don’t think he is as useless as some people here think.

We don't need a whole season of Chris Stewart. We need 6 weeks + a maximum of 28 games from a guy that has shown he can delivery in the past who will be out of the league next year if he doesn't show up during this push.

Either he pushes Brouwer and Hathaway or they push him. A little competition that wasn't there yesterday is good I guess.
