Icon20 Bruins trade Beleskey (50% ret), 1st, 7th,Lindgren, & Spooner for Rick Nash (50% ret)

per Kypreos on HNIC a framework for a deal is in place.

Lots of maneuvering left in terms of the Bruins fitting Nash into the salary cap still left to do.

Bruins have a bit more desperation if Bergeron is out for any length of time.

They are speculating on HNIC that if Bergeron goes on LTIR, it might give the Bruins the cap space needed.

So the timing of the injury could be fortuitous .

Man the Bruins are already a solid team. Get Nash, Bergeron comes back and they'll be a tough opponent in the playoffs.

I know CHI did it a few seasons ago with Patrick Kane (who returned for game 1 of the playoffs), but surely the NHL is going to investigate this as potential cap circumvention after the OTT/Brassard trade.

Could be a bad move for any team to acquire Nash as he has never been a consistent post season performer. The guy has lots of skill and size but has no passion in the playoffs. It showed in Columbus and again with the Rangers. Nash is also a singer, not a center. So, the Bruins might look for depth in that position.

But just think of icing a team with Crosby, the Staals, and Nash.
