Yeah, the same kind of hills like Canyon I Red Deer. But beginner programs anyway, in my experience, are very cheap there. Community programs. $40 there where I would pay $275 in AB. TBH, I do not know for certain it applies to 'all' sports, but it was for anything we put my daughter in there.
It was about the only value I could see in the high tax burden. Well that, and snow removal.

BTW, here in Chicagoland, what was $40 in Quebec is now $500. It's way different though. It's private. It's Exclusive.
It's very American |

what kind of stupidity is this snowboarding parallel gs. how can you compete on 2 different courses then have a winner without switching sides and racing again?
I've watched 11 races and the red lane had won all 11. it's not who is faster its who draws the red lane.

 edit 12 for 12

 13 for 13

 14 for 14

 15 for 15,

 what a farce lol

I think it's fair for Springs to be frustrated that you can have a good start, a good drive, and a bad time. It certainly looks to me that either the Canadian team needs to re-evaluate its equipment, or even that the sport as a whole might need standardized gear.
The other sport that looks like it needs to do some soul searching is Parralel Giant Slalom... riders on the red course are winning consistently over riders on the blue course. Single run eliminations was a terrible idea.

Yeah, this snowboard gs is hilarious. I'm only watching now to see if someone can actually win on the blue track.

Haven't seen his race or his comments, but I think he did his qualification on the red side though, so whatever he was pissed about has to be a different issue, no?

So Canada seems to be nowhere in any of the ski races, including this parallel stuff.
 Why is that?

I believe he was on the Blue side for both of his qualifying runs

Does this announce team not feel conpelled to point out that red wins every single time, other than the one wipeout? Do they not know?

Well we did pretty well in the ski cross races
But having Erik Guay injured and not available was going to make it really hard for us in any Alpine event.

Hmm... I'm not sure. I'm gonna rewatch his races now to see because now I'm really confused

Forgot about ski cross. But we aren’t even in the conversation in the other alpine stuff.

I guess young athletes are attracted to the x games stuff, but the US still has downhill and slalom racers who are in the hunt.
