This. It looks like the players are thinking too much out there as well which doesn't help, really need to change up the systems to utilize speed through the neutral zone.

I see a ton of depth on this LV roster. Flames have way too many passengers.

Well that was a period.
Lazar , Brodie looking like they showed up. Rittich is kind of being hung out to dry but Smith makes those saves.

Don’t see how this team makes the playoffs if we keep playing this passive, uninterested style of hockey and DONT make any additions to the lineup to help with our scoring woes.

It’s sad to see us dominated and outplayed so hard when you look at what we have on paper.

I challenge anyone to rewind and figure out how that was a penalty. Just watched it 10 times in slow-mo. He bumped into him, that’s it.

If that's the case then I don't know how this org can be satisfied with Gulutzan, as he was selling "playing fast" when he came in and quit on that almost immediately.

Frankly, we're extremely lucky to be only down by 1 after that tire fire of a period. Flames just don't have an answer for Vegas' speed and forecheck. Hopefully they can make some adjustments for the 2nd and come out a little hungrier, or this one's gonna get away from them quick.

Time to flip over the gold medal game for a bit.

Good old glue gun will stick with these lines just to show em. Despite the fact that Lazar is the only forward showing any jam or creativity today. Any sensible coach would move him up for atleast the next period.

Glad I’m not the only one who has no Fing idea what they saw there.

They are a way, way deeper team than the flames.

It is even more fun to rewind the high stick on Lazar and see the ref right across from the play staring right at it and no call. There is some serious corruption with the officiating Imo.

The coaching strategies have the roster second guessing every move they make. I don't see a lot of instinctual hockey being played. I think thats what I found entertaining about hartley hockey? he used the players talents instead of making their talent work a system?

They are very comparable. They are both Hockey teams and one went to the conference finals and had huge playoff upsets just last season.

I don't even know who #### in your cereal this morning but I wasn't even talking about comparing them. I just don't want to see a lost cause of an eastern conference hockey team on Sportsnet WEST when there was a Flames game on.

It's a different story if CBC was the broadcaster.

They need to quit with the D to D cross ice pass in their own zone. It allows teams far too much time to set up their defense.

Also, the D need to activate more and head man the puck. The gaps they give Vegas in the neutral zone are too big, step up and hit the player or stick check them.

He also sold: controlling both blue lines. Yet the Flames rarely pinch, and they back right into their own zone all the way to the circle before attacking the puck carrier.

It is literally the exact opposite of what he said they were going to do.
